World record: 10mm focal length with f/3.5 on full frame
This is the world's first lens to offer a 10mm f/3.5 focal length for full-frame cameras without the fisheye effect: Straight lines remain straight, even at the outermost edges of the image. The distortion of straight lines so typical for wide-angle shots could be reduced so much that it is practically no longer recognizable - see example images.

Samyang XP 10mm F3.5 is a high performance manual lens, optimized and developed for the latest DSLR cameras
. The lens is designed for 35mm full-frame sensor cameras for crystal clear photo and video shooting. It is the brightest lens of its kind and it is perfect for the latest DSLR and DSLM cameras with the highest number of pixels. The excellent optical resolution of the lens allows photos of over 50 megapixels and allows filming in 8K.

unique perspectives
Wide-angle lenses open up unique design possibilities for photogragy and film. Compositions can be created completely differently, because suddenly so much more fits on the picture than one is used to from normal focal lengths. For example, this lens easily captures two roads meeting at a 90° angle. This wide-angle lens is therefore particularly suitable for landscape and architectural photography, but also for interiors (not only for realtors). For portraits, however, a focal length between 50 and 80mm would be recommended, as this angle of view most closely corresponds to that of the human eye.

Enormous width and great depth of field
The lens has an exceptionally short focal length. With a close-up limit of just 26cm, the manually focusable wide-angle lens is ideal for crisp, high-contrast images at close range. Thanks to the good light intensity of 1:3.5, optimal shots are possible even under unfavourable lighting conditions.

High pixel count for excellent optical functionality
The outstanding imaging performance is due to the elaborate optical system. It consists of 11 groups with 18 lenses and sets standards. Particularly noteworthy are the three aspherical lenses, three ED lenses and one HR lens. The aspherical lenses (ASP) minimize imaging errors by reducing unwanted light scattering. The ED (extra-low distortion) lenses prevent chromatic aberrations. The HR (high refractive) lens optimizes the beam path for a clear and luminous image. With these matched high precision aspherical and high refractive lenses, the various possible aberrations are minimized and a clear image is achieved. In particular, this lens has excellent distortion correction and offers excellent resolution from center to edge. The lens hood also prevents interfering lateral light incidence and lens reflections that would lead to loss of contrast.

Integrated chip
A chip built into the lens, which communicates with the camera via the interface on the mount, makes it possible to work with automatic exposure or other programs. Also, EXIF data such as aperture and focus setting are transmitted. The camera can also indicate in the viewfinder or on the display whether the subject is in focus. The aperture is also set by the camera through this interface.

Advantages of a full frame lens on a camera with APS-C sensor
The Samyang XP 10mm F3.5 is designed for full frame. Of course you can also use it on cameras with smaller sensors, e.g. APS-C. Since a correspondingly smaller section of the full size image circle hits the sensor through the lens, the image angle is also smaller (130° with full frame, 107.3° with APS-C on Nikon F). Thus, the image contents of the APS-C image consist of a central section of the image that a full format camera would capture. Aberrations usually occur at the edge, especially with wide-angle lenses, so the quality for APS-C cameras is always maximal.
