Suitable for all common cameras
walimex pro Aptaris Universal XL Mk II provides you with even more possibilities. With its additional 1/4 inch and 3/8 inch tapped bores, accessories like a microphone or a filming light can be mounted even more flexibly. The new and bigger handle makes it even more comfortable to carry. Apart from that it comes with two 1/4 inch and four 3/8 inch tapped bores. The Universal XL Mk II matches all common cameras, such as e.g. Panasonic GH-4, Nikon D800 or Canon 5D Mark III. In short, for all cameras whose flash shoe and tripod thread are positioned on one axis and do not exceed or fall short of the inside measurements of the cage. Aptaris is simply fastened to the camera by the flash shoe of the camera and the camera screw fitting (1/4-inch thread). The adjustability of the cage in height via four Allen screws is an absolute highlight. This makes the version suitable for a vast range of cameras. Two small hooks on the camera mount, which can be individually adapted to the camera, ensure absolutely skid-free mounting.

Highest flexibility in use
Due to its vast number of 1/4 inch threads on all sides as well as a 3/8 inch thread on the bottom side, a vast amount of accessories, like microphones or LED-lights, can be mounted, just as desired. The adjustable handle, which can be mounted at the top, the bottom or at the sides, just as required, provides additional flexibility in use. This enables also filming near ground level. Due to an adapter plate with Manfrotto PL 501 standard, you can also mount Aptaris on a Manfrotto tripod. Access to battery compartment, memory card etc. is in any case ensured.

Many possibilities for extensions and combinations
Aptaris is a system. This is why the cage can be extended with numerous accessories, like e.g. the Aptaris rod module or the shoulder support module. The rod module offers ample space for the attachment of additional accessories, like a Follow Focus and a Matte box With their diameter of 15mm the rods are industrial standard, thereby enabling combination with all common accessory parts. Due to the supplied quick-release plate, the rod module can be simply attached to the Aptaris system via a slide mechanism. With the Aptaris shoulder support module you convert the cage to a complete rig in almost no time at all - for even more flexibility, especially in mobile use. Aptaris can obviously also be extended at any time with e.g. hot shoe adapters or a separate L-angle.
